Auckland, New Zealand – February 4, 2026 – Alimetry, a leader in gastrointestinal diagnostics and digital health has today announced the FDA clearance of its latest product update, featuring the transformative integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and enhanced reporting capabilities. This update marks a significant evolution in the interpretation of gastric electrophysiology, making clinical insights more accessible and robust than ever before.

Revolutionizing Gastric Data Integrity with AI

Alimetry’s latest update features the introduction of a sophisticated neural network trained on over 10,000 hours of clinical data. In clinical settings, patient movement has traditionally posed a challenge for high-resolution diagnostic tools. Alimetry’s new AI framework significantly increases the test’s robustness against movement-based artifacts, ensuring that the data clinicians review is of the highest possible fidelity without requiring labor-intensive manual corrections.

Interpretation at a Glance

To complement the advances in data processing, Alimetry has redesigned its reporting suite. The report now centralizes key metrics, allowing physicians to interpret complex findings at a glance. By surfacing the most critical diagnostic indicators, the update streamlines the clinical workflow and accelerates the path to a personalized treatment plan for patients. "Our goal has always been to make complex gastric diagnostics more intuitive, widely accessible, and easily actionable to improve patient outcomes," says Greg O’Grady, CEO of Alimetry. "By embedding AI at the core of our signal processing pipeline, we are providing a much higher level of diagnostic certainty and empowering clinicians with more time focused on patient care. These AI breakthroughs will also underpin future generations of accurate wearable Alimetry devices for monitoring gut health." The Gastric Alimetry update is being rolled out this week to over 50 hospitals and clinics globally.

About Gastric Alimetry

The Gastric Alimetry test measures gastric electrophysiology non-invasively in a clinical setting. Recordings are taken before and after a standard meal, while patients simultaneously log their symptoms into the Gastric Alimetry App. The system performs a high-resolution recording of digestive patterns from the skin surface and delivers clinical reports via the cloud to inform the diagnosis of gastric diseases and support personalized therapy. The Gastric Alimetry system is indicated as an aid to diagnosis of various gastric disorders, including functional dyspepsia, gastroparesis and chronic nausea and vomiting disorders, which affect >10% of the US population and impact billions of dollars in healthcare expenses.
